Thesis

School’s over, and one of the main things I’ve learned this year is my desire to collaborate.  I conclude this chapter by looking foward.  I want to find, individuals and groups to collaborate with, and hopefully by this time next year, I will have worked on variety of engaging projects.  Dancing by yourself is fun, dancing with others is infinitely fun.

This is post that is being written after the fact.  It’s almost Thanksgiving now, and this is how I remember it.

I got a haircut in the morning before review. I wanted to look fresh and feel good.  I was little tired from staying up late the previous night.  It was hard not to help others finish.  I spent the last several years helping out others, and even though it was my year, I still had the urge to help.  At any rate, I was slated to present 4th, but got moved up a spot.  I found out from a phone call, while i was at the other end of the building.  Unfortunatly, I wasn’t ready, my powerpoint was being processed and my laptop was chugging along really slowly.  So, instead of transfering to a usb stick, i ran with my laptop to my presenation area.

Showtime, check.

I don’t remember too much, just that I had a good time, was entertaining and able to engage the crowd.  In terms of the project, the main conversation was over, the difference between a framework and a model.

I’m glad it’s all over.  I could have done more, but I was proud of my work.  I’m glad that’s becoming a trend.

I’ve been on the 4 hour sleep schedule for the last week.  And it it feels like the Ground Hog Movie.  Everyday is the same day, except I know that this was the last night.  It was nice being done at a decent time.  I could have been done earlier, if I had access to my space.  But after I finished up, and my team had left, I kind of had the urge to stick around and help.  I’ve helped out every year, and even though I’m in the midst of my own thesis, I wanted to help a little bit.  So I made my rounds and called it quits at 4 a.m.

Time to sleep, and get a hair cut tomorrow.

I’ve got one week left to put this project together.  I’m to spend the weekend working on the presentation and take a break from coding the interface.  With out the concept there is not presentation.  So Bjork is coming in to help me organize my ideas. I think the whole process of organzing idea is one I usually tend to avoid, but I know it is crucial because there is a necessity to package and articulate everything that floating in your mind.  Especially if you want to make it clear to others.

I’m also glad that Yasameen and Rahi are going to come in and help with the table, and other miscellaneous task.  I’ve also got assistance from Christina on the laser cutting.  It’s nice getting help.
